The search for the best console has increased over the years as the standards have also increased. Three companies have competed to have the best console overall.

These companies consist of Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo. Each company has put out strong consoles for the title of the best. 

Sony had released the PS4 on November 13, 2013 and had changes done to help increase its lifespan such as a Pro version of the model. On day one it sold one million copies.

WJPS junior Ameen Afroz said about choosing the PS4, “I would choose the PS4 as it has better features like quality and games.”

Microsoft released the Xbox One on November 22, 2013 and had three million units sold in the first year. The Xbox One would later be replaced with Xbox One X within four years.

WJPS junior, Giovanni Duran said, “I would choose the Xbox One as there is a variety of games that are not on the PS4 or Nintendo Switch.“

Nintendo released the Switch on March 13, 2017 and sold 1.5 million copies on release. Nintendo would later release a Lite and an OLED model alongside the base model.
