Former President Donald Trump will make his comeback to social media with the creation of his own platform, which will “completely redefine the game,” according to one of his advisers.
Meetings were held at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, leading to the reveal that many different companies are looking to work with the former president in order to create an experience that will reel in “tens of millions” of people.
The reasoning behind the creation of this new platform dates back to January, when Donald Trump was banned from Twitter, as well as other platforms, when the storm of the U.S. Capitol occured.
Following the event, Twitter spoke out, “we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”
“When he starts it, there isn’t going to be much of an impact because Twitter and Instagram are such big platforms, he’s going to be overshadowed,” said Sayed Shah, a WJPS junior.
Another junior, Lianna Zuvich, said, “I feel like it’s kind of stupid that he wants to start his own platform just because he got banned. Some people shouldn’t be on social media, and he’s one of them.”
The platform is expected to be released two to three months from now.
