As we move through the first month the new year, we tend to forget our New Year’s resolutions.
A new year’s resolution can be just about anything. Whether you want to get better at a skill or hobby, or if you want to learn something new.
“A resolution is something to look ahead to,” said WJPS student Ashinda Fowler.
You can also make a resolution to improve your health, physically or mentally, and you could also resolve to change a certain behavior.
“I think New Year’s resolutions are important because it’s important to set goals and it’s something to look forward to,” said Ms. Paplow, WJPS guidance counselor.
People make resolutions, but it isn’t always easy to maintain them throughout the entire year.
Here are some tips for maintaining a good resolution:
- Choose a specific goal
- Limit your resolutions
- Be aware of past mistakes
- Remember: Change is part of the process
- Surround yourself with a good support team
- Renew your motivation
Always remember to stay focused and positive when makingand keeping your a New Year’s resolution.
