Six Myths about Pets

Six Myths about Pets
  1. A wagging tail just means a happy dog. Yes, it’s true. However, happy isn’t the only emotion it could be signifying. It could also mean they’re excited, stressed, or even aggravated.
  2. Cats hate all humans. Many cats enjoy company. It is not rare to find cats following their owners to help with their chores!
  3. The healing process speeds up when pets lick their wounds. Licking a wound too much will actually slow down the healing process. Instead, purchase an ointment for your pet.
  4. Cats need to drink milk. Surprise! Cats can’t digest the lactose that standard cow’s milk contains. For your pet, consuming milk can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and other intestinal issues. Instead, water for your cat is purrfect!
  5. If a dog’s nose is warm, it means it’s sick. If a dog has a dry or warm nose, it simply just means that they have a dry or warm nose. This has nothing to do with the overall health of a dog.
  6. One year of a dog’s life is equal to seven years of a human’s life. Contrary to popular belief, there is no exact formula to calculate how much a dog ages in comparison to so-called “people years.”
