How Has Remote Learning Affected Students?

How+Has+Remote+Learning+Affected+Students%3F

As we pass one month into the school year, students are still learning to adapt to the new changes brought about by COVID-19.

One of these changes is remote learning, which has had an impact on many students of all ages. Some students miss being able to see their classmates and teachers in person.

The switch to online may even affect students’ grades, according to Alvin Zeng, a junior at WJPS. He said, “Remote learning galvanizes many students to relax and take things easier, which results in a lower grade than expected for many students.”

On the bright side, remote learning may impact students for the better. Nicholas Martinez, a junior at WJPS, said, “I think remote learning makes the students’ lives easier, there’s no hassle of needing to wear a uniform or taking the bus to school.”

We do not know when we will all be back to in-person learning, but until then, many believe we must learn to accept these new changes entering our lives.
