The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is a standardized test commonly used in the United States for college admissions. So, is this test vital for us to get into a good college/university?
Vipraal Budhram, WJPS junior said, “Every standardized test is overrated, they do not prove anything other than an individual’s ability to memorize information. The SATs especially is one of these types of tests, which is why I don’t care much for them, even though I still have to study for them to get into a good college.”
Demetrios Argyros, also a WJPS junior said, “I wouldn’t call SAT overrated, I would say more they are unnecessary because it’s a very crucial test to get into a good college and some people just don’t do well in tests.”
The SAT is not essential and is overrated. One of my friends scored 1540 out of 1600 on his SAT and did not get into his dream school, New York University, which shows that the SAT does not do anything and is irrelevant.
