The well-known communication platform, Discord, has become the new way of texting among many people, from teenagers, to popular social media influencers, to have a chance to talk to each other online. Discord has the option to make servers to share with friends and people who share interests, so people can get to know one another and enjoy each other’s company. 

Because of the option to create a server, that was used to make the unofficial official WJPS Discord server. With the server having nearly 70 members, most being students from middle school to graduated seniors, it’s an opportunity for everyone to share memes and other updates.

The server is provided with bots and commands, channels for artists to show their work, contests to win special roles and perks on the server, and homework help channels for students to get the support for assignments.

WJPS Junior, Alex Argyros said, “I think it was a great idea to open up this server. It’s a good place where people from our school can come together and chat and have a good time.” 

The school’s Discord server has allowed many students from different grades to come together and get along with each other.
