Snapchat is a mobile messaging application used to share photos, videos, text, and drawings. It is free to download on the App Store and the Play Store. It has become very popular in a short amount of time. 

One of the most popular features of Snapchat among teens are the lenses. The lenses allow users to add fun real-time special effects and sounds, change their voice, face swap with friends, or even borrow a face from your photo gallery to you face.

Another popular feature is Snapchat Stories. Users can take photos or videos for all friends to view and publish them as a story. Many teens like this feature as it allows them to share moments of their lives from the last 24 hours with all of their friends.

Joseph Hong, WJPS 11th grader said, “It’s a good way of communicating when you don’t have a SIM card so it helps you communicate when other people in a project when you want to meet up.”

WJPS 11th grader, Brittni Galindo said, “I think it’s a good place to have a private conversation and you get to see what your peers are doing at the time.”
