Although New Years has passed, people still have resolutions they want to accomplish in the New Year. 2020, a brand new decade, has begun, and many students are excited to see what is in store for them.
Before the new year, some people tend to write lists containing goals they have set, create vision boards, or use strategies to commit to their resolutions.
WJPS senior student, Susmita Saha, said, “A resolution I want to accomplish for the new year is to excel in my academics and achieve my goal of eating healthy.”
People usually tend to break their commitments before they can achieve them, which is why it’s advised to create short term goals throughout the year so you don’t have to make any long commitments.
Ethan Rivera, a WJPS eighth grader said, “A resolution I want to achieve is to be a better team player and work on my shooting in basketball.”
WJPS junior Joseph Hong, said, “I want to study more to get higher test scores and participate more in all my classes.”
WJPS seventh grader, Christoffer Gonzalez, said, “I hope to hit my growth spurt this year since most of my friends are taller than me. But, besides that, I want to get more into sports and focus on my academics.”
Overall, most people have set their goals and are thrilled to begin the new year!
