Recently at World Journalism Preparatory School, the winter-themed Spirit Week took place. Each day in Spirit Week, there was a specific theme.
On Monday, it was Winter Pajama Day, where students wore their festive pajamas. Junior Leni Bochow stated, “this is my favorite day because I get to be comfy in school.”
On Tuesday it was Winter Hat Day, where students wore their festive beanies, caps, and hats. Junior Gianna Orofino said this is her favorite day because she gets to see students in “creative and cute hats.”
On Wednesday, it was Lumberjack Day, where students and teachers dressed up in flannel tops, some even wore jeans and boots. On Thursday, Winter Character Day took place, where students and faculty dressed up as their favorite character from a winter-themed movie or book.
On Friday, the last day of Spirit Week, it was Ugly Sweater Day. The winner of the Ugly Sweater Contest received a Dunkin Donuts gift card. After Spirit Week came to an end, winter break started.
