Arguably one of the greatest games of all-time received game of the year in 1980: Pacman. Back in its prime, it was so prominent that it was played non-stop.
Pacman is also the world’s third longest running game of all time, it’s been running for 37 years and six months. It was produced by Japanese video game designer, Toru Iwatani. This game was rather competitive back in its peak, that there were many records being created and shattered.
The objective of Pacman is to successfully avoid all of the ghosts trying to consume the Pacman. There are hundreds of levels you need to overcome to defeat the game. As each level progresses, the game becomes more intermediate.
World Journalism Preparatory School junior, Frankie Locissano, said “When I was younger, I loved playing this game. It’s insane to see that this game has remained relevant for all these years. It’s so simple, yet it’s so enjoyable to play.”
Pacman is one of the most prominent games ever. It’s such a basic game with such a simple objective, and it has remained incredible.
