National Honor Society (NHS) of the school inducted 16 new members as scholars through the National Society Induction Ceremony. It was held in the school’s auditorium on Wednesday, September 28th.

As members of NHS, students pledge to present scholarship, service, leadership, and character to the community.

To promote these characteristics, they carry out several annual service projects, including the canned food drive, Toys for Tots, and a blood drive.

Members are also required to be committed. Commitment is shown through participation and attendance to meetings and projects.

Every member is expected to fulfill 15 hours of individual service projects. Papers are to be filled out and handed to Ms. Paplow, NHS adviser, by the end of the school year.

Kayla Morell, NHS president, shares her hopes for this year’s group of scholars.

“I am looking forward to leading the group in a positive direction and taking on the initiative in planning all of our projects. I am also hoping to do some activities that might be for team building and not just service projects,” Morell said.
