Struggles continue for Matt Harvey. In his latest game against the Washington Nationals, The Dark Knight gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks to balloon his ERA to 6.08 in a 7-4 loss.

“It’s the beginning of the season. He’s going to struggle a little bit. Coming back from Tommy John surgery and pitching more than 200 innings isn’t easy. Once he gets into midseason form, he’s going to look like the ace he was back in 2013,” junior Kayla Morell said.

Harvey is now tied in first place with the most losses in the major leagues with seven. Even though he’s healthy, he may be having a hangover from the 216 innings he pitched in 2015, his first year back from Tommy John Surgery. Manager Terry Collins has said that Harvey will make his scheduled start against the Chicago White Sox.
