Students receive scholarship money
Now that it's almost the end of the year and it's time to go away to college, some seniors are getting scholarship money from the colleges they applied to. Photo attributions to Yealin Lee.

As it is almost time to say goodbye to the class of 2016, seniors have received scholarship money for some colleges they have applied too.
This year’s senior class made four million dollars in scholarship money so far which is two million behind from last year.
“I have a feeling a lot of people just aren’t giving me the scholarship awards that’s why its so far behind from last year,” guidance counselor Vincent Lumetta said.
Seniors have got money from various different schools but didn’t necessarily commit to the school who provided them the most money.
“I’m not going to the schools that gave me the most money, I’m going to Binghamton which just gave me tuition credit,” senior Demetri Mihalios said.
Students are still getting scholarship money but have to commit to a college by May 1st.
