Black History month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role they played in U.S. history. Student Government hosts an honorary town hall every February in commemoration of Black History Month.

Student government Adviser, Mr.Nisonoff, took advantage to make other announcements as well. The Student body kicked off the town hall with a pop quiz that included famous and prestigious African-Americans who have made history.

“The town hall was so short. I expected it to be way longer but I love how our school takes the time to commemorate all these important and influential people,” junior Kayla Morell said.

As usual, this month’s town hall was split up between the Middle School and the High School. Middle School town hall took place 7th period while High School followed the period after as announcements differ through the grades.
