This year’s Super Bowl is not only a milestone because it’s the 50th one, but it’s also a star-studded one. Lady Gaga is confirmed to be performing the National Anthem at the year’s most anticipated sports event.

This addition to the big game corresponds with the big halftime act, which is Coldplay and Beyonce. It is rumored that a surprise guest will be joining the two for the huge performance, a few who include Rihanna and Adele.

Gaga is already having a successful 2016, just a month in. Back in January, she won a the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Limited Series, Series, or Motion Picture for her performance in American Horror Story: Hotel. In addition to that, her collaboration with Diane Warren, “‘Til It Happens To You,” for the movie “The Hunting Ground” is up for Best Original Song at this year’s Oscars. It was also just announced that she will be tributing David Bowie at the Grammy’s on February 15th.

“I’m really excited to see her perform the National Anthem. She has such a great voice and she never disappoints in any performance ever,” senior Alyssa Striano said.

Past National Anthem performers include Whitney Houston, Billy Joel, Christina Aguilera, and Idina Menzel (who performed the song at last year’s Super Bowl).
