Two L.A based surf rock bands SWMRS (Swimmers) and The Frights have recently announced a 2016 tour titled, “The Great American Adventure Tour.” Their tour consists of  43 tour dates, starting in California and ending in Colorado.

SMWRS is a band based out of Oakland, California, and consists of four members; Cole Becker (lead vocals/rhythm guitar),  Max Becker (lead vocals/lead guitar), Joey Armstrong (drums/backing vocals), and Seb Mueller(bass/backing vocals). They don’t yet have a studio album but have a singles EP “Miley/Uncool” which obviously feature the songs “Miley” and ”Uncool.” For this tour, they are going to release their new album, “Drive North.” They are currently signed to Burger Records.

The Frights hail from San Diego, California and are a three-piece surf band that consists of Marc Finn (drums), Marky Carnevale (guitar/vocals) and Richard Dotson (bass). They have one studio album along with two EP’s. The studio albums is entitled “The Frights” and the two EP’s are “Fur Sure” and “Dead Beach.” Their next studio album: “You Are Going To Hate This”, produced by Zac Carper of FIDLAR, is coming out in January of 2016. Two notable singles The Frights have are “Beach Porn” and “Makeout Point.” They are currently signed to Postmark Records and Dangerbird Records.

The Great American Adventure Tour is making its stop in New York on March 3rd at the Studio at Webster Hall.
