Instant Buy with the New MTA Machines

“The new machines are beneficial for everyone who takes the bus. This is a great upgrade but what the MTA must not change is the price to take the bus. Apparently it’s rising to $3. This will be a disadvantage to people who ride the MTA,” Pharmacy Technician Angela Aquino said. Photo attributions to Michelle Tejada.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority [MTA] placed metrocard vending machines[MVM] all over New York City bus stops. This is going to be very useful for those who may have forgotten to refill their metrocard. The MVM can also be used for people who read braille.

“In general, these new MTA machines are very convenient. What I think though, is that they are awkwardly placed. It should’ve been placed right next to the stop sign and not far away from it randomly on the sidewalk,” senior Yareth Tototzintle said.

It gives simple instruction for what you may want to do whether it is to buy a new card or to refill one. MetroCards are available from the price of $5.50-$80 with a $1 fee for a new metrocard. MVM’s also include 7-Day or 30-Day Unlimited Pass, and 7-Day Express Bus Plus MetroCards.
