FIDLAR Rocked NYC’s Webster Hall
FIDLAR's genre has been described as many things: punk, post-punk, alternative, surf-punk etc.. Shortly after their album released, they announced a fall tour. The tour started on September 9th, they are playing in Webster Hall on September 26.

FIDLAR, an L.A. based punk band, and Australian band Dune Rats played the Grand Ballroom of Webster Hall last Saturday, in NYC, for the 12th stop on their Fall tour for their new album, “Too.”
Showing up in a small van with an instrument trailer attached to the back, FIDLAR hung around the venue, talking and playing street dice with their opening act, Dune Rats. Zac Carper of FIDLAR ultimately won $13.
Dune Rats went on first, playing songs such as “Red Light Green Light”, “Dalai Lama”, and “Superman.” They played with extreme energy. The lead singer and guitarist, Danny Beusa, jumped around the stage, around the bassist, and engaged the entire crowd. Between every song, Dune Rats would thank the crowd and thank FIDLAR for taking them on the tour.
Before FIDLAR took the stage, the venue put on R Kelly’s “Ignition” and the set up crew came out and unveiled two life size R Kelly dolls on stage. The crowd was confused, but enjoyed it. After about 3 minutes passed, FIDLAR finally came on stage. They waved and said hi to New York City, and immediately start playing “Stoked and Broke.” The crowd went crazy and started singing along.
Throughout each song, the show got sweatier and more people started to crowd-surf. Carper laid down on the stage and shredded on his guitar while the crowd screamed. The band broke out into “No Waves,”a fan favorite, followed up by “Cheap Beer,” the first ever song FIDLAR made. Other notable songs that were played during the show were “40 oz On Repeat,” “West Coast,”“5 to 9,” “Punks,” and “Wake Bake Skate.” During “Wake Bake Skate” Carper jumped into the crowd and sang most of the song in the pit.
“My favorite aspect of the concert was meeting the two bands (FIDLAR and Dune Rats) with you and actually seeing them in person, it made the experience more personal I think. It was also really cool to see the bands being actual people, like the bands talked about where they were going to eat, they hung out and talked to fans, and shot dice on the sidewalk which I thought was a bit of a weird thing to do before a show,” junior Elizabeth Browne said.
The show was fast-paced and was an extremely good time. The two bands are extremely nice, love meeting fans, and love performing. Both FIDLAR and Dune Rats put on an amazing performance and rocked the venue.
