To get a bang for one’s buck, the Dollar Tree is the place to go. On November 15th, Dollar Tree had its grand opening, catching the attention of many students and customers alike.

Conveniently located right across the street from school, Dollar Tree offers a variety of different goods ranging from snacks, supplies, decorations to other miscellaneous things. Items are continuously restocked so there are always new things on sale.

“I couldn’t believe that a box of cookies was only a dollar, that’s ridiculous, ” junior Christopher Stena said.

Unlike 99 cents stores, the cost of all items are only a dollar. Some students suspect that there is a tradeoff of quality for price.

“Things can’t possibly be this cheap without there being a downside, like the quality of the product,” junior Maryann Liu said.

Dollar Tree sells both major and knock off brands, but major brands come in smaller quantities. A three liter bottle of Stars and Stripes soda costs the same as a .5 liter of Coca Cola.
