Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Wind Bastion

Operation Grim Sky is coming to a close with the recent release of the Wind Bastion test server release. What is shown in the test server is two new operators.

The first is Nomad, who is a two speed two armor operator who’s gadget is a blowback type grenade launcher that flings enemies across the room, disorienting them for a short period of time. The second operator being Kaid, a three armor one speed, who’s gadget consists of two electrifying sticks that can stick to any surface and make it so any gadget placed on the reinforced/barb wired surface gets destroyed.

Ubisoft has also released a new map called “Fortress.” This map is a partly redesigned house which belongs to Kaid. This map is set in the southern part of Morocco.

According to Ubisoft, the map is heavily based off of Moroccan architecture, from the gigantic walls to the intricate designs covering the many surfaces inside. Ubisoft has also made multiple buffs and nerfs, and a whole new throw system for primary and secondary gadgets.

“I’ve seen gameplay of Kaid and feel like he may be too overpowered,” says Julian Duran, a 10th grader at World Journalism Preparatory School. “His utility is insanely high to be honest.”
